Double win for Germany!

I think the most Sebastian Vettel fans wished that we will get a very very boring race. But this race was not boring this was totally and absolutely thrilling from lap 1 to 57!

Already the start was very close with Hamilton first kissing slightly Webber’s car and then few corners later kissing more heavily Seb, who went then extreme close to the wall but it went well and Seb kept the lead. But his teammate Webber lost many places and was after the first lap down from 2nd to 9th. He was also the first man of the top10 to come in for a tyre change in lap 7. He rejoined the track at the end of the field. Maybe a bit too far away…

Because in lap later he had a very spectacular crash! He crashed into Kovalainen’s  Lotus and made a looping and flew over the track! But luckily he could step out of the car alone and he is totally ok!!!

For sure the safety car went out then and this was the cause of a drive through penalty for Hamilton as he overtook the safety car and after the race 9 other drivers got 5 sec penalties for safety-car rule infringements.

Seb had before the safety car went out a comfortable gap to Lewis but for sure due to the safety car Lewis got close to him and nearly overtook him as Seb didn’t braked very well in the final corner xD

But, the old cool fast, Seb stayed first and as Lewis had to take the drive through Seb got a 15 sec  gap to him! Even if this gap got smaller as Seb was stuck a bit in traffic while overlapping…

Typic Seb, he pushed as hell to get the fastest lap xD he always wants to get this! But Schumi and Button were faster xD

The best thing at the end of races is the victory team radio, the drivers mostly totally freak out 😀 this time seb freaked out and his team principal Christian Horner said to him: This was Germany’s best result for today!!

Sorry Christian but you got it a bit wrong as Germany won 4:1 over England.

Well, this was definitely an thrilling rae ith a very scaring crash by Webber! And I know that many Seb fans said after Istanbul crash that they hate Webber but I think they were all scared and hold their breath when they saw this crash, and hoped that nothing happened to him!

Well in fact this was for all Seb fans and amazing race with his 2nd win of this season and his 7th win of his carreer.

The next race will be the British GP at Silverstone in 2 weeks!

But until then you won’t get bored if you check out our blog more often than usual. We will have a Summer-Special starting on Seb’s birthday next Saturday! So stay tuned and don’t forget to send us your birthday wish for Seb!

After the result of the race you can find to videos of today’s race!

See you soon!

our great Twitter friend @x_elly_ just remind me of two cool scenes of the race. DUring the safety car after Mark’s crash almost the whole field pitted and suddenly Kobayashi, who didn’t pit , was 3rd between hamilton and Button! he stayed there until his pitstop in the last few laps! And an other craz situation was when there was a beerbottle rolling over the track XD

Two cool moments and a huge thank to @x_elly_ for reminding me of that!

Normal Service then?

OF course this circuit did not suit the Red Bulls!!! OH WAIT! ONE QUESTION : Why did they get pole? Oh wait because they were fast! But it wasn’t the in-form Webber that got pole, it was his teammate Sebastian Vettel who had the last 4 races tough. But moving on to Valencia , Alonso and Ferrari was to be feared the most with their upgrades; but despite being supreme in Friday Practice 2 he managed to only turn that into a lowly4th while his teammate who many have already discounted for this title race came 5th right behind him. The Mercedes’ both had a session to forget as both failed to make the final session of qualifying with Schumacher coming 15th and Rosberg got an horrible birthday present by qualifying 12th.

The 7 time World champion already had a bit of problem in Q1 wth the new bies occassionally going faster that him. When did you think you would hear that eh? The McLarens of Hamilton and Button on the final flying lap made mistakes that cost perhaps only one of them dearly. Hamilton, een with locking up his brakes, went 3rd overall while teammate Button perhaps rued the mistake he made as he went 7th overall.

Perhaps the biggest suprise of the day was the 2 Williams of Hulkenberg and Barrichello making it into Q3!!! But they also set identical times to 3 decimal places!! However, since Hulkenberg went first : he got position.

About his pole position, Sebastian  Vettel had to say : “This circuit shouldn’t be our strongest but it’s good to put the car on pole.”It was very tough because we reintroduced our ‘F-duct’ (aerodynamic device) for this weekend and the mechanics had only an hour or two of sleep, so it’s good to say thank you and put the cars one and two.” While team-principal Christian Horner said :

“This was the race we absolutely didn’t expect to be on pole. It (the track) absolutely doesn’t suit our car.”The F-duct has worked really well around here. A lot of effort has gone into analysing the data from that. That kind of team effort is what is getting the performance to the car.”

Nazionale Piloti

As you might know, some F1 drivers play on the Wednesday before some races in Charity Football matches.

They play in a team called “Nazionale Piloti”, which was founded to gain money for the “nazionale piloti foundation” which supports many different charity organizations (you can find a full list here)

Some of the F1 drivers who play at the Nazionale Piloti are Seb, Alguersuari, Trulli, Rosberg, Massa and Alonso. Only to name some. They play mostly against a team of national Allstars.

This year there are 8 matches set to be.  The first ones where at Bahrain and at Monaco.

Now seem to come 6 more matches but as at some dates there isn’t written the place where it should be held and neither the team which they will play against is written. So I am not sure if these matches will really be held. However, here is the schedule of this years matches:

Town Stadium Date Opposing Team
Bahrain   March 10
Monte Carlo Louis II Stadium May 11 A.S. Star Team for the Children
Istanbul Ali Sami Yen Stadium May 26 Turkey All Stars
Wiesbaden Brita Arena July 21 Bigg All Stars
Budapest   July 28
Bruxelles Machtens Stadium August 25 Belgian Celebraties
Monza Brianteo Stadium September 08
Abu Dhabi   November 10

I hope for you that you might have the possibility to go to one of the matches!

If you want to have more news or information on the Nazionale Piloti you can check there website here

I hope you enjoyed the post and I promise that you will hear great news from us before the Valencia GP!!!

See you later!!
