Jerez Test Days 1-4

Testing got underway in Jerez on Thursday and with all teams taking part (with the exception of Hispania) , there was plenty to talk about. One of the main talking points was: Who would replace Robert Kubica in the Renaulty? Nick Heidfiled was one of the first choices, followed by the current reserve Bruno Senna. However, Renault had made it quite clear that they wanted someone with experience which Senna clearly lacks. The overall thoughts of many F1 fans and observers is that Heidfield is set to be on the grid in Bahrain which is less that 3 weeks away.

Back to the Testing and it is clear that Ferrari and Red Bull have developed consistent and reliable cars, that could both possibly lead the field. McLaren, on the other hand, had a tough time in testing in Jerez as they encountered many different problems : unable to find the right setup or not having the correct amounts of parts they needed. With a mixed results of who is on the top spot in every test, it is hard to conclude the order of each team.  But as we witnessed last year, the development pace in Formula One continues to quicken ; leaving many fans with no answers nor ideas over who’s fastest. But for now, we leave Jerez with our thoughts for only Robert Kubica to make a speedy recovery.
